Remotivation Used by Community Outreach

Outreach workers that recruit clients for various types of services have used remotivation skill successfully for many years.

Homeless Services

Outreach workers learn how to conduct remotivating conversation with potential clients, provide information in a positive, non-threatening or judgmental manner.

Conducting regular remotivation discussion groups at community centers, shelters or recreation centers where clients congregate or receive other services such as meals or employment services, keeps the clients involved, develops intrinsic motivation and orients them to possibilities and opportunities.

Teen Runaway Outreach

Specialized outreach services can integrate remotivation skills into existing activities and programming.  Remotivation's unique approach is ideally suited to reach clients that have been abused, alienated and have withdrawn from family and community.

Remotivation has been used successfully in services to teen runaways.
