Why Cotman Vistas?
Put simply, this name is the embodiment of all that MAHO stands for.
We wanted a name that reflects what MAHO and the Vistas are about: we want people to have accessible housing so that they can live full lives. Kathy, with her family’s support, lives in accessible housing and enjoys a life full of advocacy, volunteer work, family, and friends.
We encourage people with disabilities to locate and make use of all the supports they need. Kathy has had the support of her family, aides, and agencies such as New Avenues to Independence and Linking Employment, Abilities and Potential (LEAP).
MAHO advocates for accessible housing to make our world better. Kathy has advocated for accessible housing for most of her life. She was a founder of MAHO and has been a Board Member for its entire thirty year history including two stints as Board President. Her father Frank was also a long-term MAHO Board Member and is an Emeritus Director. Kathy has also advocated for accessibility in her church, in her City of Euclid, and on many other levels through her involvement with other Boards and advisory committees.
