Loving University Circle

Selena loves her apartment and living independently. “I like being on my own because I get to choose what I want to eat and where I want to go,” she said. She enjoys socializing with neighbors in the community room and really enjoys going out.
Selena has taken advantage of all the opportunities available to her in University Circle: “This location is really great! I can go to Rascal House, Qdoba, the museums. If I stay inside I get restless, so it’s nice to just go down the street to Silver Spartan Diner for a milkshake.” The Uptown development will bring more restaurants and shops for Selena to go to.
Cotman Vistas will also give Selena the opportunity to enjoy even more of University Circle at home. The new building will have a large outside patio area with planters the tenants can use. The lobby and community room will have great views of the activities across the street and on Euclid Avenue.

Cotman Vistas Site
Cotman Vistas (New Circle Vistas) will be located adjacent to the current Circle Vistas site. Case Western Reserve University will sell MAHO land just north of the existing building on which to build the new project. CWRU will purchase the existing Circle Vistas and land when the new building is complete and the tenants have moved in.
University Circle is already home to many amenities that benefit our tenants: restaurants; shops; a public library; medical facilities, including University Hospitals and Cleveland Clinic; and cultural institutions, including The Cleveland Museum of Art and the Botanical Gardens. You can learn more about University Circle at http://universitycircle.org/.
Plus, The Euclid Avenue HealthLine gives our tenants easy and direct access to downtown Cleveland’s Playhouse Square and the mall and movie theater at Tower City.

Uptown
And the neighborhood is about to get even better! The sale of the current Circle Vistas building and land facilitates not only our project, but also CWRU’s Uptown development.
The Uptown development will bring in more shops and restaurants--including a bookstore right across the street from Cotman Vistas! Not only will the Circle Vistas tenants have a new building to live in, they will also be able to enjoy living in a revitalized community. An April 16, 2010, article and graphic in The Plain Dealer discusses the Uptown development, including Cotman Vistas.
