Thriving Independently
Greg Stuart knows precisely the day that his life changed: July 7, 2005. That’s the day he moved into Circle Vistas. “Living here has been a wonderful experience,” said Greg. “I have a sense of independence and accomplishment. Living on my own is something to be proud of.
“Even though I was born with a disability, I have proven that I can live like anyone else.” Were it not for the accessibility and affordability that Circle Vistas provides, Greg would likely still be living with his family. Since striking out on his own, Greg has earned his associate degree, is working on his bachelor’s, and has even learned how to do his own laundry!
This particular chore will be even easier for Greg in Cotman Vistas, which will have a laundry room on each floor. He is also looking forward to having more space in his apartment, particularly in the bathroom. The best part for Greg, though, is knowing that he has contributed to Cotman Vistas: “I can be proud that my voice and opinions helped to create something new and different.”

Accessibility
The Cotman Vistas (New Circle Vistas) project will be a model of accessible housing. We have sought input from our tenants and have consulted an accessibility expert, Sally Levine, to create the best accessible home for people with physical disabilities.

The mobility-disabled residents of Cotman Vistas will enjoy the fully accessible units and common areas, including a large lobby and patio. Accessibility is often easier to show than to tell; the accessibility features of Cotman Vistas are shown in the links and PDFs below through blueprints, photos, and diagrams.
