Fort Dupont Ice Arena provides a youth instructional hockey class as part of the Kids On Ice program, and an adult pickup session, and hosts several Washington area-hockey teams. We do not currently have our own youth or adult league.

Youth Hockey Classes at Fort Dupont Ice Arena

The Kids on Ice Hockey Club program is designed to take skaters from beginning hockey skills through league levels, and will satisy recreational and aspiring hockey players alike. Coach Billy Bryant oversees this program. To learn more about Kids On Ice click here. Although this is an instructional hockeyclass, students are provided opportunities to participate in special events. Players are required to have basic skating skills before entering the class (forward and backward skating, stopping, ability to fall and get back up quickly), if your skater needs more basic skating instruction please see the "Learn to Skate" class information.

KOI Hockey CLub 2010/2011 Season

Saturdays

Sept 18 - Nov 20 (10 weeks)

Dec 4 & 11 (2 weeks)

Jan 8 - Mar 12 (10 weeks)

Arrival Time: 7:30 am On Ice: 8:00 am - 9:20 am

For ages 5 - 18 yrs

(child must be 5 years old by first day of classes)

There is an annual fee of $35 for USA Hockey membership and insurance. Your registration must be vaild through August 31, 2011. If you last registered your skater with USA Hockey last season, you must renew before you can register. Click here to register for USA Hockey membership. Once you have completed this step you can register for the KOI Hockey Club class online.

Other than the D.C. Police Ice Hockey Team, Fort Dupont Ice Arena only has one adult hockey group, the Metropolitan Hockey Club. They skate at 7:00 am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.
