Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is a federally funded program to help eligible low-income households meet their home heating needs.  This program is divided into two components, Crisis and Subsidy.  Subsidy provides a one-time payment for heating costs.  The Crisis Component serves clients who will be without heat within four days or have received disconnect notices for utilities.  Payment amounts for both components are determined by family size, income, and type of heat used in the home and are made directly to the vendors.
