A native of Horry County, Cierra has been with the Center since 2003. She is a 2007 graduate of both the Conway Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program and Coastal Carolina University where she received a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies. She currently resides in the midland community of Galivants Ferry.
Ashleigh Watson, Administrative Assistant
Proud southern native, Ashleigh is a 2008 Early Childhood Education graduate of Clemson University. Ashleigh worked for the Center briefly before moving to Clemson in 2005 but rejoined the team full time as the Administrative Assistant in December 2010.
Ashley Proctor, Bookkeeper
Ashley is a native of Horry County and a 2008 graduate of Coastal Carolina University. She began working with the Center in 2007 during her senior year of college while majoring in Accounting which led her to her current role. She assists the Center part time with fundraising, bookkeeping, and financial managment. She and her husband John live in Conway with their dog, Luke.
James Sellers, Academic and Vocational Coordinator
A graduate of East Carolina University, James was born and raised in Mamers, North Carolina. His love for his favorite family vacation destination prompted his relocation to the Grand Strand in 2003 where he landed a job with the Center as the Residential Counselor. He has since served the Center in various capacities and is currently working as part of a grant funded program with the Horry County School District.
Sharon DeRose Pritchard, Client Services Coordinator
A former foster parent from Centerville, Ohio, Sharon joined the WYC team one month prior to the first child's admission in February 2001. She brought a wealth of knowledge and experience with working with foster children upon arrival and has been "grandma" to over 125 boys who have called the Center home. She has three boys of her own and three grandchildren. She and her husband Jim are residents of Conway.
Pat Eberhart, Lead Youth Mentor
Pat joined our staff in 2008 after spending several years working with high risk youth in other local organizations. As a mother, Pat quickly brought a consistency and stable presence into our program which landed her the position of Lead Youth Mentor. She believes and lives by the motto that "everything will be alright and if not, you should shut it down and its a wrap." Her catchy phrases, taglines and relentless encouragement keep the boys headed on the right track as they walk through daily life.
Melvin Singleton, Youth Mentor
A Conway High School alumni and former athlete, Melvin became part of the WYC family in 2011. He and his fiance Jennifer live in Conway with their three kids.
James Keys, Youth Mentor
All the way from Washington state, James brings years of youth development experience to the Center. As a football coach and youth advocate, he takes a hands on approach when working with the boys. He and his wife live in Myrtle Beach.
Cody Brown, Youth Mentor
A former foster child and resident of the Center, Cody came on board in 2010 after two tours with the United States Marine Corps in Afghanistan. He currently works part time while continuing his education. His personal experiences enable him to serve as a positive mentor to current residents.
Nicole Pioli, Youth Mentor
Originally from New York, Nicole moved to Conway in 2004 to attend Coastal Carolina University where she earned a BS in Health Promotion. Working at the Youth Center inspired her to obtain her Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina in 2011. She lives in Myrtle Beach with her fiancé and looks forward to her weekends at WYC.

Dennis Tummino, Youth Mentor
A long time educator, Dennis works with the Center as part of our weekend staff. His impact with various football programs and thousands of students allows him to provide guidance and advice during his famous "little chats."
Pete Wilkes III (Pooh), Youth Mentor
Pete began working part time with the Center in 2001 when the doors opened. Locally, "Pooh" has a reputation for being found at the Backyard or at Conway Recreation Department. As a long time coach, sports lover and "uncle" to hundreds of kids, he devotes his free time to giving back to the community. He has four children and two grandchildren.
Sonya Hudson, Youth Mentor
Sonya is a native of Conway and has been working with youth for 8 years. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and is currently working on obtaining a Masters Degree in human services. She resides in Conway with her goddaughter.
