The Circles® Campaign is a transformational approach that partners volunteers and community leaders with families wanting to make the journey out of poverty. Operating in communities around the country, each Circles® initiative consists of families working to get out of poverty and several middle and upper income Allies who befriend them and lend support. The Kin and Kids program offers advocacy, outreach and support to kinship caregivers residing in Oneida and Herkimer Counties. Kinship refers to relatives and other non-parent caregivers that are providing full time care for children. Children maybe living in kinship care due to a parent having issues with addiction, incarceration, child protective concerns, military deployment, mental health,abandonment, illness or death. Adult Recovery Services (ARS) is a voluntary program for any adult 18 & above with an Axis 1 Mental Health Diagnosis. ARS provides a safe & positive environment where our members can socialize, obtain advice & support, develop job skills & attend a wide variety of groups offered daily. At ARS it is our mission to work with all members on embracing our journey in recovery together. Members have disclosed that this set up has helped to improve their self-confidence, social & vocational skills, most importantly, has assisted them in living meaningful & independent lives in the community.
