A Special Donation To The Neighborhhood Center
On April 19, 2012, The Neighborhood Center, Inc. was the proud recipient of a very special donation. Amanda Grace Lindsay’s wish for her 10th birthday was to help children, their families and animals. Instead of receiving gifts for herself, she collected donations of shoes and pet supplies. “It’s good to help people that don’t always have all they need and animals too, if everyone would just give a little or help a little, it makes a big difference, kid’s are always happy with new shoes!” Amanda collected 103 pairs of shoes as well as various items for the local humane society. The shoes will be distributed through a number of Neighborhood Center programs. She wishes to thank all her friends, classmates at Deerfield Elementary School and family for all their help in making her birthday wish come true. Thank you Amanda for being such a generous young lady and for thinking of the children and families we serve at the Neighborhood Center.

A Big thanks to Todd Hunter, owner of Eternal Images Tattoos & Piercing! In celebration of 15 years of business, Todd gave back to his community! On Saturday October 15th, 2011, Todd offered special price tatoos with ALL proceeds (no didn't even keep the cost of ink or staff time) going to both The Neighborhood Center and The Boys and Girls Club!! Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser Our Applebee's Flapjack fundraiser on October 9th, 2011 from 8am - 10am was a great success. Thank you to all who attended. Participants received a pancake breakfast at Applebee's on Commercial Drive in New Hartford for just $5 per person.
