Diana is a 22-year old woman from Honduras. At the age of two, a high fever left one side of her face paralyzed which resulted in a distorted facial appearance, leaving her unable to close one eye and unable to smile. Over an 18-month period she underwent two surgeries which restored her smile and corrected her eyelid deformities.
