Southern California Alcohol & Drug Program's (SCADP) Youth and Family Services Department provides outpatient individual and family counseling for high-risk youth with substance abuse and related problems including gang involvement, teen pregnancy/parenthood, criminal behavior, school problems and emotional/mental health issues. Participants are referred from the court system, probation officers and local schools. The 3 month program provides individual and group (family) counseling, substance abuse education and peer/family group support. In 2010, SCADP was awarded a fourth prestigious adolescent treatment grant from a government agency called Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMSHA) to conduct intervention curriculum for Latino adolescents.
