Adult Basic Education (ABE)

Because everyone works at his/her own pace and has a different level of basic skills, our ABE program focuses on the individual student and their needs. Teachers are available to help the student identify their goals, recommend materials to help them achieve their goals, and provide instruction. For more information, call 812-829-5869.  Registration is every Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 pm-4:00 pm at Spencer's Lifelong Learning Center, just South of Owen County Public Library.

There are three areas of ABE:

Improve Basic Skills – If you need to improve your reading, writing or math skills, join one of our classes! Although you may already have your high school diploma or GED you can still attend.

Many parents welcome the opportunity to ‘brush up’ on these basic skills so they can keep up with their children's schoolwork. You can too!

Get Your GED –Would getting your GED make a difference in your life? Are you seeking a new job or career? Join one of our classes to study for the GED exam. Whether you need to start with the basics or are almost ready to take the exam these classes will help! Call 812-829-5869.
