Louisiana Center for Law and Civic Education
“We the People” State Competition

The state competition was held at the Baton Rouge Marriott on Friday, January 29, 2010.  Five teams, Early College Academy, Glenbrook High School, Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies, Helen Cox High School and John Ehret High School, competed for the opportunity to represent Louisiana in the We the People National Competition that will be held on April 24-26, 2010. John Ehret’s team, led by George Allan, emerged as the victor. Vickie Hebert from Early College, Jamie Pigott from Glenbrook, Jamie Staub from Haynes and Jonetta Jackson from Cox are to be commended on the outstanding performances of their teams.
