Playgroups:
 
Playgroups are open to ALL families with a child(ren) 0-3 years of age.  Playgroups will be meeting at local libraries, parks, community centers, churches, etc. and give families an opportunity to connect with other families. 
 
Early Steps is excited to announce:
 Playgroups are now forming in your area!
 


Playgroups provide Caregivers the opportunity:

To Socialize with families that can relate to what you're experiencing
To Gain Information on community resources
To Find Support from other parents and caregivers
To Exchange Ideas and Solutions to the many challenges that arise
 
Playgroups offer Children the opportunity:

To Participate in Group Play

To Take Part in Activities that help to stimulate development


 
Special Interest: 
 
Communication from a Child's Point of View
This New Class is being taught by Jeremi Grosser, MS, CCC-SLP with Early Steps and will be for families with children that have communication concerns.  During the class the families will learn everyday strategies to increase and improve their child's communication skills.

National Conference on Autism
A community sponsored conference for physicians, parents and educators addressing autism spectrum disorders at no charge.  Saturday, April 9, 2011 from 8:00AM to 3:15PM at Florida Gulf Coast Unversity.  Visit www.fgcu.edu/events/promisingpathways for more information.
