HOW CAN ME AND MY FAMILY BECOME A HABITAT HOMEOWNER?
Applicants must be willing to become a full partner with Habitat Forsyth. Families must meet all qualifications and be willing to invest 200 - 300 hours of their time
in “sweat equity" which involves working on your house, on your neighbor's house and by partnering with Habitat in other ways.
After you meet all qualifications you become eligible to receive a 20-year interest-free mortgage on a newly built home or one of our newly renovated homes. Now you are a homeowner and will start making monthly payments to Habitat.
Qualifications and Requirements:
If you answer “yes” to any of the following questions,
you might qualify to partner with us to become a Habitat Homeowner
Have you had steady income for the last 18 months?
Have you lived in Forsyth County for the last 12 months?
Is it overcrowded in your home?
Are you living in substandard housing?
Do you live in a crime-ridden neighborhood?
Are you making monthly payments on all your debts?
Are you willing to work 300 “sweat equity” hours on Habitat homes?
Does your total family income fall within guidelines listed below?

on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
