2010 statistics

·          Children Served: Hall-Dawson CASA Program advocated for the troubled lives of 391 children.

·          Gender: Of the 391 children, 191 were females and 200 males

·          Age range: 152 children were under the age of 5; 95 children between ages 6-11 and 144 between the ages of 13-18.

·          Race: 115 children were African American, 175 Caucasian, 68 Hispanic, and 32 multi-racial and 1 Asian.

        Types of Deprivation (Abuse and Neglect of Children):

·          Neglect: (lack of basic needs, supervision, medical, and educational neglect) 75%

·          Physical Abuse: 6%

·          Sexual Abuse:     4%

·          Abandonment:     8%

·          Substance Abuse by Parents: 70%

·          114 Children reached permanency in 2010

             (reunited with family or by adoption)

·          In 2010, 175 CASA Volunteers contributed 13,064hours

      and drove 84,569miles to advocate for these innocent victims.
