Johnette Barham - President
As
Founding President of Giving Spirit, Johnette's vision is to help
improve the overall access and quality of education within the most
needy provinces of South Africa. She has a diverse professional
background and currently works as a Corporate Meeting Manager where she
facilitates the execution of major meetings and events within the
Pharmaceutical and Automotive sectors. Her background also includes
over 7 years of corporate experience, and work as a Celebrity Personal
Assistant. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from
Tennessee State University, Nashville, TN and is presently pursuing
graduate studies at Harvard University Extension School, Boston, MA

Joan Howard - Vice President
Joan
currently serves as Chief Counsel of the Civil Law Group of Legal Aid
and Defender in Detroit, MI. She brings to Giving Spirit over 20 years
of legal expertise and an invaluable background in management in the
non-profit sector. She received her undergraduate degree from Howard
University in Washington, DC and her Juris Doctorate from DePaul
University in Chicago, IL. Joan additionally has served on various
boards of community organizations bringing indispensable civic
experience to her Giving Spirit post.

Angela Smith - Treasurer
Angela
brings a wealth of financial acumen to Giving Spirit and has been
employed as the Finance Director for Legal Aid and Defender
Association, Inc. in Detroit, MI for the past 13 years. She is also an
Accounting instructor at the University of Phoenix.
Angela obtained her undergraduate degree and MBA from Wayne State
University in Detroit, MI. She is a member of the National Association
of Black Accountants and the National Black MBA Association Detroit
Chapter, where she serves as Treasurer and newsletter staff writer.
