Hope Center Services
The Hope Center provides services that address poverty from different dimensions: To enable people to survive by providing food, clothing, hard goods if necessary, and through education. The Hope Center has a large warehouse facility that holds Food, Clothing, and other goods that may be needed in times of distress, such as furniture pieces.
The Hope Center also has classrooms that provide the education that can help people lift themselves out of poverty. The facility provides necessary tools like GED classes, which give a strong foundation that can be built upon. In our information age, the keyboard is the tool with which we pass on information. The Hope Center offers Keyboard 101 classes which teach people not only how to enter data, but actually type at a rate that will enable them to secure work in business.
There is also a class to teach the most widely-used suite of office computer applications, Microsoft Office® which allows graduates to get more specialized work in business, which could command a higher salary.
HOPE offers vocational training for CDL licensing (Class A or B) and forklift and/or scissor lift certification to provide the skills necessary to compete in today's industrial job market.
The Hope Center also offers classes which teach children to protect themselves. Karate is offered on Saturdays.
