The Children's Museum in Easton

First Annual Lantern Walk
 
 
The Easton Cultural Council will host the 1st Annual Lantern Walk on Saturday August 28, 2010, with a rain date of Sunday August 29, 2010. This event includes the designing and making of handmande lanterns and then participation in the evening lantern walk. The walk itself will start at 6:30pm at the Easton Historical Society on Mechanic Street and ends at the Italian Garden at the Ames Free Library on Main Street. Refreshments will be served. We encourrage everyone, young and old, to participate in this event which was developed to encourage the arts in Easton and to highlight the significange of our unique historical and cultural downtown.
Lantern Making Workshop

The Children's Museum in Easton is proud to partake in this event with it's Lantern Making Workshops. Join us at The Museum beforehand to make your own handmade lantern to carry in the Lantern Walk. Create your own unique and individualized lantern made all from recycled materials. All you need to bring is a clear 2-liter bottle with you for each lantern you wish to make. Decorative papers and items will be supplied here. There are two dates to choose from:

Wednesday, August 25 12:30-3:30 pm
