The Children's Museum in Easton

17thAnnual 5-Mile Road Race 
and 2 Mile Family Fun Walk Father's Day Sunday June 19, 2011
 
Race starts at 9am
Registration starts at 8am
 
                          
 
Race Features
The course begins on Main Street and winds through historic North Easton Village, past world-renowned H.H. Richardson buildings and F.L. Olmstead landscapes, around scenic Ames Long Pond in Stoughton, and returns to the Children’s Museum for the finish. The picturesque course
is mostly flat, with a few rolling hills. Bathrooms are available at the start. There are 3 water stops along the course. Mile splits are called at all mile markers. A festive post-race party plus raffles, and awards ceremony follows the finish. Results are posted immediately following the race. T-shirts will be given to the first 300 pre-registered runners and supervised childcare is available for children of pre-registrants and volunteers only.
 
For Walkers: A 2 mile non-competitive course for walkers. Parents, put the kids in a stroller and come have fun celebrating families!  Walk for just $5.
 
Cash Prizes: This year the top 3 male and female runners will be awarded $100 for first place, $50 for second place, and $25 for third place finishes.

Special Runners Services provided by:
 
The Training Fix will be there to assist in proper stretching techniques and provide sports massage pre- race and post-race.
 
Easton Pilates will be in the house to post-race stretching/release techniques..
 
The friendly folks from Roan Chiropractic and Denette Chiropractic will be there to assist runners in proper pre-race stretching techniques, and again at the finish line for hands on trigger point massage and stretching.
