
Bristlecone Family Resources is a recipient of the "IT Makeover Campaign" sponsored by IQ Technology
Solutions and Microsoft Licensing. The
campaign provides 2 local non-profit organizations with $15,000 to
upgrade, implement or expand their information technology systems.
Organizations were selected based on their vision on how information
technology solutions would allow them to have a greater impact on the
community.
Technology is a critical part of Bristlecone's daily operations.
The agency must maintain technology standards in compliance with
federal mandates on confidentiality and disclosure of client
information. Bristlecone's clinical and administrative staff use
computers to review, retrieve and update client records; for community
outreach and communications; data collection; grant reporting; and for
all financial procedures.
Bristlecone's current systems are dated. Technological upgrades will
prove cost effective for scheduling, billing, data collection and
reporting. The IT Makeover will allow counselors and staff to spend
less time dealing with the frustrations of inadequate technology and
more time doing what they do best: Helping people overcome addiction.
