The American Red Cross Kern Chapter belongs to each and every one of us. It’s there for you whether you need help, or you want to give help to others in need. It’s a place where a total stranger will give you shelter from a storm, a word of comfort in a crisis, or even help save your life. Every night in America, while most of us are sleeping, Red Cross volunteers are standing on the lawn of someone who has just lost their home and everything they own in a fire. We make sure they have a safe place to stay, food, clothing, and a plan to get back on their feet.
