Team Building - Groups of 8-10 students are guided through various team building initiatives.  We start easy and get more difficult as the day progresses.  Involves intellectual and physicial challenge.  Teamwork and trust are built on preventing potentially hazardous stuations.  This day does not involve any high-rope work or the need for climbing harnesses.

 High School Biology

Biology classroom teachers can work with the Lab director to tailor a day of activities to students needs.  Possibilities involve an interpretive nature hike, use of the captive vertebrate collection or the specimen collections (approximately 24 vertebrate skulls, other vertebrate parts, various plant specimens, and models) to delve into the concept of adaptation, or a comparison of biotic and abiotic factors in aquatic habitats (pond vs. stream) and terrestrial habitats (forest vs meadow).

High School Earth & Space Science

Orienteering - Students learn the use of map and compass and put their skills to use to navigate an orienteering course that flanks Pine Mountain.

Geology Hike - Lab staff lead an interpretive hike on which rock and soil samples are collected and compared to get an understanding of regional geology.  Land features and principles of geology are presented in detail.
